Changes to the site

[The Swansea Way]

The Swansea Way will shortly be undergoing a transformation, aimed at making it the number one site for fans of Swansea City. The forum will be fully integrated to the site (if we can't transfer this over we'll announce it in due course), but is there anything else people would like to see featured on the new site?

Things which will be included so far:

News section - no opinion - just anything Swansea City which has made the media.
Opinion section - all the latest from myself and our team of writers.
Features - Stats pieces, regular features ("Whatever happened to..." could make a comeback plus any other repeated format article)
1st team section - news on the 1st team plus player profiles, stats etc
U21/Development side section - news on the Development side
Youth section - news on any youth team activities below the U21 level
Forum - Obvious
Podcast - Automatic embedding of the latest from The Jackcast, and any EPL Roundtable/other podcasts we appear on
App - With the new site an app will be developed, so you can stay up to date whenever a new article is published.
TSW TV - A fan tv project, interviewing fans after the game as well as lots of other things.
Women's Football - News on Swansea City Ladies' football team.
Injury updates - a section detailing any Swansea players currently unavailable, and giving reasons as to why.

Seems pretty comprehensive but if anyone has any thoughts we're open to ideas.

What about a video/highlight section where people can share home videos or youtube....etc. of everything Swansea City?

Definitely a good idea. Might tie it in with the TSWTV stuff and have it all on one page.

I wrote a piece for a Man City blog about Bony, and their site has a squad selector which I think is a great idea. (http://themaineblues.com/squad-selector/) Not sure how easy one of these is to embed, but definitely think it'd draw people to the site.

Also an 'opposition view' would be nice. Maybe just a simple Q&A, similar to the ones featured on TheJackCast when there's an opposing fan on. As long as someone can get hold of a willing fan from another club, that'd be fairly straight forward but personally something I enjoyed on the podcast - questions like 'If you could have one of our players...' and 'How did you rate our efforts in transfer market?' etc

This may already be tied in somewhere (possibly news), but adding a loan watch section may be interesting.

I know the official site does a loan watch so it'd probably worth linking that in somewhere
