I thought what with this being something of a fledgling forum, it would be a nice idea if new members could introduce themselves and say hello. I'll kick things off. My name is Scott and I'm the founder/owner/editor of www.theswanseaway.co.uk. I started the website in February 2013, and we won Best Sports Blog in Wales in 2014 - hopefully we can retain our title this year... I have a somewhat chequered past which includes working as a lumberjack, a dinnerlady(dinnerman?), a scuba diving instructor in Ibiza, as well as a two year spell at Nev Wilshire's Save Britain Money (of "The Callcentre" fame), before recently starting work writing for a number of online outlets. Hopefully the forum will go from strength to strength and we can keep it free from the bickering and in-fighting which makes other websites a stressful experience.

Started going to the Vetch in 1983 just as we started slipping down the leagues so not a glory hunter, and loved every minute of it since,Dare I say it I did prefer the old days down the vetch in the lower leagues but still really proud of who we are and where we are!

Should've mentioned I started going to see the Swans around 1997/1998 as a fresh faced nipper. To give you an idea, my favourite player was Ryan Casey for a while. Slim pickings at that point...
Cheers for the kind words, name-jack, hopefully we can actually discuss football and not resort to slagging each other off! That's the idea anyway...

I've been following the Swans for many years, since about 1973. The Planet Swans site is a dificult site to give your views on,without being shot down with a load of foul language and abuse. The reason why so many are moving to properly run sites like this. By the way my post on the Swans v Stoke match hasn't appeared on here yet?

Nice to have you on board sandfieldsausage! I started the site with a view to keeping things based strictly on football, and as I'm (by default) the mod, I intend to keep it that way.
Jackaway - no idea why the Swans v Stoke post hasn't appeared yet mate! Apologies.
I'm going to to get this forum linked directly into the main site soon too, so you won't have to actually leave the site to come onto the forum. Should make things a bit smoother...

Also, Jackaway - you're forum rating has gone up to YTS! First person to claim a second Swans' badge...

Hi all,
I'm originally a Swansea boy from Mayals, but have been living in Aus since I was 10. Is still have fond memories of going to the vetch as a kid. I still have family on the Gower and have been home a few times and have been to the white rock a couple of times. But have mostly maintained my support through news papers sent from UK, once the inter webs fired up online and the rare televised match. In the championship I would catch 1in3 matches when they made our foreign TV channel. Since reaching the PL I get every game but have to get up at 1 or 3am to watch (which I do willingly).
its been a disjointed and often difficult task to support the swans as I have but I'd like to think there are few fans who can say they are more committed then I am.
im a listener of the Jack cast so figure I better get involved in the forums.
Cheers
Rhys

I'm a 33 year old Cwmbwrla boy currently residing in Gowerton.
Introduced to the Swans by my late grandfather in the late eighties, pickings were slim for some time. My first three games were nil nil draws.
I slipped away from regular attendance during my university years but my return to Swansea was the day of the Hull game in 2003 and I've been a regular ever since.
I'm a passionate supporter of the Trust and truely believe it is something to be proud of and cherished.
I'm a positive person generally, and this comes through in my love of the Swans. I always fancy us for the win and support whoever wears the shirt.
I reside in the North East stand, right on the segregation so enjoy being abused by 17 year old pretend hooligans on a regular basis.

Picked well for your return game! I missed quite a bit through living away and playing saturday football. Thankfully I'm now incapable of football so it means I don't have to miss games!

I was fortunate that my football ability was at a level where reserve team kick off times applied. A home pitch of cwm level park helped as well.

Hello all. My name is Dylan, and I'm a university student in Texas. I'm a new fan, as I was only introduced to Swansea their first year in the Prem, which was when I started watching regularly. Loved the style of play, and found out I loved the financial and team philosophies as well, and I've been hooked ever since. This being my first foray into the forum world- I hope I have something to offer.

Hi guys been a swans fan since 1978 season ticket holder on and off over the years money permitting. I'm a season ticket holder at the moment with wife and kids. Still pinch myself every day can't believe how far we've come premium league and spending £££££ millions on players and one of top 30 richest clubs. Love the swans through thick and thin. Looking forward to some great discussions on here.

Hi, I'm Chad. 18 years old from Pennsylvania, obviously a huge Swans fan. My Twitter is ChezRolez_ if you aren't following me on there. I had kept an eye on the Swans in years prior, but I'd say I became a full-fledged fan at the start of the 2013/14 season, and I don't really know why. I didn't want to be a fan of any major clubs, so I watched some games of other teams, and in the early season 2-1 loss to Arsenal in 2013, I became hooked on Swansea. My 6 year old brother and I watch every game on our couch, and haven't missed one yet. It may sound cheesy and disingenuous, but Swansea is a major, major part of my life, and I would do anything to be able to go to South Wales for a game.

My name is Gareth. I live in Spokane Washington (State not DC). Well, nothing glamorous about how I found The Swans. Started watching soccer (Yes, I'm American) a handful of years ago. I wanted to support a team in the best league in the world. My family dates back to Wales, I'm not sure where though. I will do some research later. I googled 'Welsh Premier League Teams' and only one showed up. That was 2012. I've followed the Swans ever since. I love waking up at 6:30 to get the coffe ready for a 7am kickoff here in the Pacific time zone.I'm still learning all the ins and outs of the game, but one thing is for sure, I've fallen in love with this team. I've been accepted with no questions asked by long time supporters. This Club feels like a family to me and I love it.

Good to have a new forum! First Swans match was 1989-90 cup game V Liverpool as a kid with my dad and his mates. Started going regularly while I was in comp, enjoyed the Molby days. Season ticket holder since 1998, do tend to over react, but only because I care On Twitter as same name if anyone fancies following.

Thought I'd have a go at this... I'm Josh Kilmister, 17 and live in Swansea. I contribute fairly regularly to The Swansea Way and have been a Season Ticket holder for nearly eight years now. I'm English, but I'm guessing the less said about that the better, haha! If you want to give me a follow on Twitter it's simply joshkilmister, same goes for any other social media.

Hi All. I'm Shirley, 35. Fan since my dad told me Swansea were the worlds greatest team when I was about ten, he's was - and still is - correct. It's been said I shed a tear when Leon scored against Forest int he play-off semi, but I steadfastly maintain it was the glare from the floodlights.
